A theoretical investigation of the influence of variable viscosity and thermal conductivity on the
MHD boundary layer flow due to a point sink is presented. Both the fluid viscosity and thermal
conductivity are assumed to vary as inverse linear functions of temperature. The flow governing partial differential equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations by means of similarity transformation. The problem is solved numerically using shooting method .The effects of viscosity parameter, thermal conductivity parameter and magnetic field parameter on the flow field for Pr = 0.70 and Ec = 0.10 are considered. From the results it has been observed that the effects of the above variable thermo-viscous parameters and magnetic parameter are considerable and they have to be taken into consideration in the flow and heat transfer problem.
