Publicación Acceso abierto Determination of non-Markovinity in the Jaynes-Cummings model(Universidad del Valle, 2024) Ramos Arias, Manuel Alejandro; Argüelles, ArturoIn this work, we outline an innovative proposal, on the basis of a powerful data analysis technique known as principal component analysis (abbreviated PCA), to characterize and quantify the degree of non-Markovianity of an open quantum physical system. In particular, the method to be introduced is applied to the Jaynes-Cummings model, whose dynamical behavior is geometrically illustrated by the Bloch sphere representation. Finally, our proposal is compared in a qualitative way with other proposals frequently used in the literature to demonstrate the great advantage it offers as a suitable non-Markovianity quantifier, both because of the enormous computational advantage it brings with, as well as because it takes into account a wider range of accessible quantum states that contribute to the construction of a more complete and general measure.
