    Critical discourse analysis : a review of the critique.

    The article is a review of the main criticism targeted at Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) in recent years. It addresses such issues as the epistemological stance of CDA, the linguistic theory behind it, its cognitive framework, the role of the analyst and of the participants, the pretension to connect micro features of discourse and macro societal patterns, the treatment of context, linguistic analysis, and the issue of interdisciplinarity. Some of the changes undertaken in the field to respond to the critics and the need for a stronger impact of CDA are also discussed.

    Ideología y crítica en Michel Foucault. La cuestión del Sujeto.

    Las referencias de Michel Foucault a la noción de ideología no han sido tan numerosas. Luego de unas pocas líneas dedicadas en la primera de las conferencias de La verdad y las formas jurídicas, en una entrevista publicada en 1977 manifestó su incomodidad con el concepto de ideología, entre otras dos razones, por las implicancias con una noción clásica de sujeto. Por otra parte, y de modo sorpresivo, en algunos trabajos tales como ¿Qué es la crítica?, analizó la noción de crítica. Lo que me interesa indagar es si al momento de conceptualizar la crítica, Foucault mantiene la misma conceptualización de la subjetividad que cuando reprochaba el concepto de ideología. Abstract Michel Foucault’s references to the notion of ideology are not so numerous. After just a few lines dedicated in the first conference of Truth and Juridical Forms, in an interview published in 1997, he expressed his discomfort with the concept of ideology, between two others reasons, by their implications with a classical notion of subject. On the other hand, surprisingly, in works as What is Critique?, he analyzed the notion of critique. I´m interested to examine if at the time of conceptualize the critique, Foucault maintains the same conceptualization of subjectivity when he reproached the concept of ideology
