El "futuro de la naturaleza humana" según Habermas. Reflexiones respecto a su fundamentación para una ética de la especie.

Abstract

(Spa) Para Habermas, “el fenómeno que nos inquieta es la imprecisión de las fronteras entre la naturaleza que somos y la dotación orgánica que nos damos” (Habermas, 2002, pág. 37) . Resalta insistentemente la diferencia entre “lo que somos por naturaleza” de lo “hecho” o “crecido”, evitando a toda costa que se pueda dar cualquier ambigüedad en los límites. Se expondrá qué procesos culturales, además de la “naturaleza”, han estado dándonos tanto cuerpo físico como cuerpo social; por lo tanto, la frontera se ha desvanecido. Urge entonces preguntarse si bajo estas circunstancias se estaría modificando, en sus términos, la autocomprensión ética de la especie.

(Eng) Following Habermas, “what is so unsettling is the fact that the dividing line between the nature we are and the organic equipment we give ourselves is being blurred”, repeatedly highlighting the difference between what we are “by nature” from the “made” or the “grown”, avoiding at all costs any ambiguity in the boundaries. It will be exposed that cultural processes, in addition to “nature”, have been giving us both, a physical body and a social body; therefore, the dividing line has vanished. It is urgent then, to wonder if under these circumstances, in Habermas’ terms, our ethical self- understanding as members of the species is being modified.
